Aviston man charged with cruelty to animals for shooting pet

Hobie Timmons and his son, Brent Timmons, were the owners of a Siberian husky named Trigger.  The dog was shot and killed by a neighbor on Friday on his property between Aviston and Albers.

Timmons’ hobby, from rural Germantown, appealed to friends on social media, held a protest rally at his home, and threatened a civil suit against the owner of the next-door property who he says shot and killed his beloved family pet.

El Paso Animal Services will offer free pet vaccinations and microchips to hundreds of pets via a drive-thru pet wellness clinic on Sunday.

The event will take place at 301 George Perry Boulevard from 8 am to 11 am
