It was these that we were particularly hoping to see, we especially wanted to find a smooth snake, what with them being so rare and sparsely distributed. So, we set of with our cameras

(CNN) — We may find beautiful and festive fireworks, but they explode like magnified gunfire in the ears of many of our pets, which are exquisitely sensitive.

Measuring between 150 and 175 decibels, the fireworks were louder than many planes at takeoff (about 140 decibels). Decibels measure the loudness of a sound while hertz measures the frequency of a sound.

Finding pet care could become easier with these solutions

Pet owners face a potentially big problem as the veterinary field deals with a growing shortage of veterinarians.

Researchers at Mars Vet Health claim a boom in pet adoptions, especially during the COVID pandemic, and the retirement of approximately 2,000 veterinarians each year have combined to create that shortage.

They now estimate that nearly 41,000 additional veterinarians will be needed by 2030 to meet the growing demand.

Currently, some pet owners said they were already seeing delays in getting appointments with some practices booked weeks and months in advance.

With all this in mind, the Solutionaries team investigated possible solutions.
