A man has been accused of fatally stabbing a dog during an altercation with one of the pet’s owners in New York City’s Central Park.

Police are reportedly on the lookout for the suspected stabber.

The attack took place at around 8:30 pm on June 17, according to the New York Daily News.

A 43-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man were walking their two dogs — a German shepherd pitbull mix named Eli and a chihuahua — at the time. The couple had both dogs on a leash.

Sacramento County’s Bradshaw Animal Shelter and the city of Sacramento’s Front Street Animal Shelter are teaming up for a single day of free services, including vaccinations, wellness exams and more, according to the county’s website. Cat spay/neuter clinic to take place March 11, 12

Mar. 2—Pet Friendly Services of Indiana is partnering with Public Vet to provide financial assistance to individuals wishing to spay/neuter their cats.

The clinics will begin at 8:30 am March 11 and 12 at the Community Building at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds. Individuals with cats in Vigo County and the surrounding areas are welcome, the organization said in a release.

Each procedure is $90 and takes about an hour to complete. With support from Pet Friendly Services, Project HOPE and the Terre Haute Humane Society, additional discounts are available for those who demonstrate financial need.
